The thermoprobe is an easy-to-use device that can assist printers in identifying curing problems. Symptoms of curing issues or problems vary, but include: poor wash fastness, dye migration, poor adhesion, as well as ink crocking. Using a thermoprobe can help the user identify if an aging dryer is losing heat output as well as if any dryer in general is malfunctioning. Allowing the 'donut probe' to run through a dryer prior to a production run can save money by reducing the possibility of the above-mentioned problems occuring and identifying cure problems prior to printing entire production runs.
